Data Protection Regulations

Data security

All personal data that you entrust and transmit to us - in the course of our website, the competition registration form, the contact form as well as the newsletter registration, will not be passed on to any third persons or organisations outside EIZO AG. In order to secure your data as far as possible - it should be mentioned at this point that absolute security does not exist - we use modern security systems and store your personal data on a security server. The transmission of data is also specially encrypted via a modern, secure SSL key, which is supported by all common web browsers.

Information, deletion, blocking

You have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of data processing, as well as the right to correct, block or delete this data. You can contact us at any time at the address given in the imprint for this purpose and for further questions on the subject of personal data.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

browser type/browser version

Operating system used

referrer URL

Host name of the accessing computer

Time of the server request

This data cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.

Contact forms

If you send us enquiries via the upload form, your details from the forms, including the contact details, files and information you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

Objection to advertising e-mails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published within the scope of the imprint obligation to send advertising and information material that has not been expressly requested. The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, e.g. via spam e-mails.

Links

Our website contains links to external websites of third parties over whose content we have no influence. Therefore, we cannot assume any liability for these external contents. The respective provider or operator of the pages is always responsible for the content of the linked pages. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking. Illegal contents were not recognisable at the time of linking. However, a permanent control of the contents of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete indications of a violation of the law. If we become aware of any infringements of the law, we will remove such links immediately. The present data protection declaration therefore does not extend to the linked other websites.

Privacy policy for the use of Matomo

This website uses the open source web analytics service Matomo. Matomo uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. For this purpose, the information generated by the cookie about the use of this website is stored on our server. The IP address is anonymised before storage.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will not be passed on to third parties. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

If you do not agree to the storage and use of your data, you can deactivate the storage and use. In this case, an opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser to prevent Matomo from storing usage data. If you delete your cookies, the Matomo opt-out cookie will also be deleted. The opt-out must be reactivated when you visit our site again.

Privacy policy for the use of Facebook social plugins

Our website uses so-called social plugins ("plugins") of the social network Facebook, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). The plugins are marked with a Facebook logo or the addition "Social Plug-in from Facebook" or "Facebook Social Plugin". You can find an overview of the Facebook plug-ins and their appearance here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins.

When you call up a page of our website that contains such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Facebook receives the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can directly assign your visit to our website to your Facebook profile. If you interact with the plugins, for example by sharing an article, this information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on your Facebook profile and displayed to your Facebook friends.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in Facebook's privacy policy.

If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website directly to your Facebook profile, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the loading of Facebook plugins with add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the "Facebook Blocker".

Facebook Remarketing/Retargeting (Custom Audiences)

On our website, we use the "Custom Audiences Pixel" of the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). This serves the purpose of presenting interest-based advertisements to visitors to our website as part of their visit to the Facebook social network.

For this purpose, a Facebook pixel has been implemented on our website. Via this pixel, a direct connection to the Facebook servers is established when visiting our website. This transmits to the Facebook server that you have visited our website and Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account.

For more information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Facebook's privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. Alternatively, you can deactivate interest-based advertising on Facebook here. To do this, you must be logged in to Facebook.

To deactivate the loading of the "Custom Audiences Pixel", set an opt-out cookie by clicking on this link.

Privacy policy for the use of YouTube

Our website uses plugins from the YouTube site operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Further information on the handling of user data can be found in YouTube's privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files that make it possible to store specific information related to the user on the user's terminal device while the user is using the website. Cookies are used as part of web technology and do not harm your computer system in any way. Although cookies identify the computer you are using, they do not contain any personal data, so your privacy is protected. Cookies remain stored beyond the end of a browser session and can be retrieved when you visit the site again.

By configuring your browser, you can determine yourself whether and, if so, in what way you allow the use of cookies on your computer; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.
